Welcome to the world of

A Tabletop Roleplaying Game about Shapeshifters, lost Souls, and Multiverse travel.

What is Soulhunters?

Soulhunters is a Tabletop Roleplaying Game (TTRPG) designed with an emphasis on creative freedom, while maintaining just enough rules and balancing to offer up exciting challenges.
One player takes the role of Worldkeeper, the Storyteller for your hunts across different worlds. The other player(s) take on the role of Soulhunters, sentinels of the Afterworld who utilize their Shapeshifting powers to catch runaway souls or fight those who use the power of souls for their own gain.
Some highlights of the system include:
- Shapeshift to change your looks, abilities and stats at any time
- Create your own spells using the tag system
- Learn from your mistakes and gain extra experience through failure
- Learn unique talents that alter the games rules
- Create your own world/setting to play in- Or just visit the world of your favorite videogame, comic or movie.

The system is currently in its first beta version (0.b1). All systems and rules to experience the full game are in place. The next version (Beta2/0.b2) will focus on balancing, adjusting numbers, and adding quality of life improvements. A release date for 0.b2 is not set at this point.
Soulhunters is a personal project that I decided to share with my fellow lovers of indie TTRPGs. I don't make any money with this aside from what generous people decide to tip when downloading the game.

Links and Contact

Soulhunters depends on feedback from players and the community for further development. Below you will find the feedback form for the current version of the system, as well as other ways to get in contact with me.

FAQ

Q: How can I help the project?A: There are several ways! The first and maybe easiest would be to spread the word: Reblog/retweet/share the official posts on social media, make your own posts, talk about it, upload a review, share some memes- The more people know that Soulhunters exists, the better!
Then of course, giving your feedback and ideas is the best way you can help directly and immediately. If you play the game, try encouraging your fellow players to also fill out the feedback form for the current version!
And if you're feeling VERY generous, a tip when you download the rulebook is greatly appreciated. All income from Soulhunters gets directly converted into coffee to keep me awake and working on the system.
Q: I run/want to run an actual play show/podcast/livestream. Can I run a game of Soulhunter for it?A: Absolutely! And please let me know if you do, so I can check it out! I could even help out with some art/grant you permission to use official art.Q: Can I make fanart/content for Soulhunters?A: Yes, absolutely! All I ask is that you link back to either this carrd, the official tumblr, or any of my social media accounts. You know, so people know where to go when your rad content catches their interest and they wanna know more. And feel free to @ me too! I'd love to see and share what you create!Q: I made some homebrew stuff! Can I share/sell it?A: Yes! All homebrew content, be it adventures, new rules, worlds, talents, or whatever, is encouraged! The only rule if you want to share or sell it online is that you can't directly use official material in whatever you publish. Like art from the rulebook, even if edited, or text copied directly from the rules.Q: I have a question about the system / lore / a specific rule case that needs an answer ASAP! where do I go?A: The best and fastest way to get your question answered is probably the Soulhunters Dev Blog on Tumblr. Bonus: I can answer publicy so anyone who has the same question gets their answer as well!
Alternatively, you can send me an email titled "Soulhunters Question", and I'll get to it when I have the time.
